Hi, guys! Today I’d like to speak on the theme concerning domain name of your site notably how to select a good domain name. It’s a vital question in your marketing campaign because in order to visit your site a user must see and choose the name of it. So what is the best method to select a good domain name?

Starting up your site don’t hesitate to consult a SEO expert. It would be useful for you. Actually you should do this just before you choose a domain name of your future site. As a rule a good SEO expert has good knowledge and experience and he’ll definitely share his skills with you (of course not for free). You know that good domain it’s a real benefit in future of your site. If you want to avoid SEO expert and will use your personal knowledge don’t miss my simple tips that work!

Let’s image that you have a company name like NSD Associates but regrettably you have no any visitors from organic search (it happens with everyone ) you can register the domain name as NSD.com or NSD.net depending on your wish and availability. You’re able even to look for country specific TLDs (top-level-domain) like .co.uk, .fr etc. It depends on the place where you are.

But in case you want to use your website as sales point and the internet as the customer source, you would need to think differently. Let’s come to a real life situation. So you are trying to sell SEO services online and you have already given the name to your company, it sounds like ABCDE Associates for example. After this you are looking for a suitable domain name. It might be ABCDE.com. Does it say anything about your company? Will you encourage audience remember it easily? I don’t think so!

The best approach is to find and insert the key business words into the domain name – for example buybest.com can be a good domain name where the people will easily remember the name for the specific service you are specialized in. So easiness and accuracy is the best way to follow. Besides such domain names would also help the search engines (your potential customer source) to identify and competence what you are dealing with to offer you relevant visitors. And in future it would definitely help to advance and improve search engine rank of your website.

You have to find out the key phrases that people usually use to search the product you are offering (here it is SEO Services). Now if the domain name buybest.com is not available, we would try different change and combination of keywords and at the same time you have to try to keep the name short and easy enough to understand it from the first site. Here reliable software development process plays a great role…

However, it is always better to use a fixed and commonly used name if you don’t want to choose a specific name about the service or product you are offering. Then if you are offering some services to people of a definite geo location, you can add the location name in the domain name. For example, if you are offering SEO services for California based businesses, you might have a domain name like California SEO or as your domain name.

But do not use different names as your website title and domain name. For example if you use a domain name Californiabuybest.com and use the title to be Big Choppers Associates, it may bewilder your visitors. It is always better to use the same words for domain name and business name.

Are your links popular? When search engine decides that other sites quite often are linking to your site it means that you’re on the right way and your site deserves pickup in rankings. Obviously people link to good interesting sites, not bad ones.

You need to know that Google PR doesn’t mean link popularity. The fact of the matter is that these things are different. Actually to make it clear PR means amount of links popularity. While page rank focuses strictly on the quantity and popularity of links, link popularity adds a quality factor into the equation. Regrettably a lot of people fail to understand this difference that lead to confusion.

Being sophisticated and powerful machines, all major search engines pay attention to link popularity in their ranking algorithms. There seem to be 2 major types of links that are the best and most efficient to raise your link popularity: links from other sites, focusing on the same keyword phrases you site focuses on and links coming from major directories and industry-specific portals with relevant categories. If site doesn’t constitute quality links you should avoid it. even if you submit your site to 1000 of bad sites you’ll not win link popularity but in spite of it these sites can help your PR to occupy a higher position.

The way link popularity work

The link popularity works in the following way:

Let’s imagine that Sam’s Pizza Castle Website has a link to Jim’s Clothing site. If the link has the keywords “men’s clothing store” in the anchor text (the clickable part), it may help Jim’s link popularity a little bit for those keywords. However, Jim would benefit a lot more if the same link came from a site that was more related to Jim’s site than a pizza castle. For example, a more related link might be from a woman’s clothing store, a men’s shoe store or any other type of store that relates to clothing in some way. Relevance plays a great role. The more relevant site links to your site the higher link popularity you’ll have.

An even higher-quality link for Jim’s might be from “Bill’s Clothing Store Directory,” which lists a whole bunch of clothing stores that can be found on the Internet. That is exactly the kind of link that the search engines would want to credit toward link popularity. Again, the key is in having that common subject between the sites.

Sometimes creating a new blog I wonder whether it’s worth for reader audience, if people coming to my blog get interesting and useful data. You know that the Internet itself frequently seems to be a place filled of foolish trash and junk. It’s so easy to make a blog and fill it with everything you want. What’s more putting Ad Sense, for example, to the newly made blog means potential revenue and getting extra money. The employment level in the Internet world is unbounded. So you can’t say you have no job if you have access to the Internet. Hence, you can find or even create a job that’ll bring profits in years to come. But there is a vital question concerning bloggers’ decorum: do we make our blogs for users or search engines? To be honest, I don’t really care about this issue –why should anyone worry about this if he gets money and feel cheerful? But the question remains: how many of us make and promote their blogs not for search engines but for user. I can immediately answer – a slight percent from majority. Nevertheless I’d like to tell about what’s more important: creating sites for users or the engines.

On the whole site should be designed for the user, with search engines in mind. You know that Google says and advise its users not to do anything particular for the engines. Further on they make a webmaster tool service where a user can submit a sitemap and receive data concerning the algorithm how the search engine operates. This function gives new site owners a little bit of confusion. To my mind people like sites that are easily to navigate pleasing to the eye and that help sell whatever it is you need to. It’s important when pages are be set up as landing pages. Due to this approach you can give the visitor everything they need to make a purchase or fill out a form. Within this you can optimize these pages for the engines and use the pages for your PPC campaigns. My thought is that doing sites this way brings the visitor a much better experience.

Interestingly that the excellent site is not only user friendly, but optimized for the engines. The site owner has to be aware of people wish: where they go and what product they need. The worst thing is when people are landed on a page that is optimized for a phrase but offers no information about it. This way of SEO brings the user a bad experience and you a missed sale. Once you have a page optimized, you can simplify the transition from viewing what you have to offer to facilitating a purchase. You can provide related content and links as well. This will help with your PPC because Google is now comparing the relevance of your landing pages with the keywords you buy.

You know that during SEO of your blog there’s a disastrous temptation – writing duplicate content. It’s easy and doesn’t demand your knowledge. What’s morу the internet is a generous source of different information. Why not steal if it’s possible? There are a lot of rumors that say search engines will penalise a site if much of its content is also on other websites. Have you heard this?

My thoughts are the following…The thing is, that there is a real duplicate content penalty for content that is duplicated with minor or no variation across the pages of a single site. Furthermore, Google has created also a “mirror” punishment for a site that looks like another one. Actually “penalty” means that Google will punish you for violations of the engine’s terms of service. The punishment can mean making it less likely that the site will appear inSERP’s. Punishment can also mean removal from the search engine’s index of web pages.

An experienced blogger knows that a big number of high PR sites rewrite content and provide it for reprint. The most evident case is the news wire for example Reuters (PR *) and the Assosiated Press 9PR 9) that reprint to sites such as www.nytimes.com (PR 10). You know that reprint sites speedily spread, this kind of spread is cheap, easy for webtraffic.

Sharing my experience I’d like to say that when I first started distributing content for my site ( the main site), I was amazed by the highly targeted traffic I got from visitors clicking on the link at the end of the article. It was a really unexpected thing for me! While my traffic was steady raising due to the content, search engine traffic shoot up as well. Then I came across another surprise. When I decided to put reprint articles on my site I discovered that day by day search engine traffic went up. Time passed and I wrote a pretty big number of reprint articles finding a few webmaster fans who came to my site to reprint articles. So I didn’t mind. Why not to help useful people? After this I secluded the entries in one place of the site. And again after some time my articles brought me amount oа search engine traffic. Google was the leader in providing the traffic for me. To sum it up I should add that in order to make a good duplicate content you have to be sophisticated and skilled enough to do it.

From the first sight it seems that search engine is a sophisticated and impartial robot. It does its job and doesn’t make any privileges for sites and blogs. Despite this search engines don’t like flash sites. Let me tell you why.

Apparently search engines dislike Flash Web sites not because of their artistic qualities (or for their absence) it happens because Flash movies are too complex for a spider to understand. The thing is, spiders cannot index a Flash movie directly, as they do with a plain page of text. Spiders index filenames (and you can find a lot of these on the Web), but not the contents inside. As a result many bloggers and webmasters just refuse using flash sites to optimize in spite the fact that people are very visually manipulated, and it is often the flashy sites that attract the customer to actually buy the product. If it looks pretty good, then it must be really good, right? It’s the psychology of the costumer. So it’s the incontestable advantage of flash site. But let’s return to flash site optimizing.

You know that flash movies come in a owner’s binary format (.swf) and spiders cannot read the insides of a Flash file, at least not without assistance. And even with assistance, do not count that spiders will crawl and index all your Flash content. And this is true for all search engines. There might be peculiarities in how search engines asses page relevancy but in their approach to Flash, at least for the time beings, search engines are really united – they disguise it but they index parts of it.

Despite the fact that Flash movies are not spider favorites, there are cases when a Flash movie is worth SEO. But try to keep Flash movies at a minimum. In this case less is definitely better and search engines are not the only reason. Firstly, Flash movies, especially banners and other kinds of advertisement, draw away users and they generally tend to skip them. Secondly, Flash movies are fat. They consume a lot of bandwidth, and although dialup days are over for the majority of users, a 1 Mbit connection or better is still not the standard one.

Basically, designers should keep to the statement that flash is good for advancing a story, but not for telling it – in other words you have some text with the main points of the story (and the keywords that you optimize for) and then you have the flash movie to add further detail or just a visual representation of the story. In that connection, the greatest SEO trouble is to keep the whole your site in flash. It means bad, incorrect approach to SEO, in this case your rank position will be the lowest. How to make a universal strategy? A better way to incorporate Flash, if your client has it, is to first create an HTML site, and then use Flash movies in place of images, buttons, and banners. These areas are usually of little importance to a search engine anyway, so it seems fine to do it this way. In which case, optimizing this type of site is no different than optimizing a plain HTML site. Speaking frankly it’s the most suitable way to promote your flash site.

Another restriction is to use Flash for navigation. This applies not only to the starting page, where once it was fashionable to splash a gorgeous Flash movie but external links as well. Although it is a more common mistake to use images and/or javascript for navigation, Flash banners and movies must not be used to lead users from one page to another. Text links are the only SEO approved way to build site navigation.

Today blogging does its best, improving, expanding, becoming a crucial part of Internet business industry. Millions of people around the world are blogging on every subject from their personal lives, their jobs, hobbies, to business and internet marketing. So blogging can be either an instrument for making money or a kind of entertainment. Someone even is able to combine business with leisure activities and get money from this. With so much time and effort dedicated to the endeavor, clever individuals have chosen to work hard with blood and sweat geting the absolute most that they can pull out of their blogs. This includes monetizing them. Monetizing is both smart and profitable. Here are the 7 essentials to creating a blog that pulls in money like a magnet. Of course this metaphor doesn’t always work but despite this tips written here might be helpful for your blogging activities.

1. Choose a hot topic and write, write, write. While choosin it, make sure to find one that will be of much interest to many people. If you want your blogs to inspire a good response, select a hot topic. What’s more remember the contents of your blog shouldn’t be all over the place. It wiil be a rubbish-bin. Stick to a general theme, so that your readers know what to expect from you.

2. Be Informative. Some bloggers, dabbler, say that you need to provide just a content and update it without importance whether it’s interesting and relevant or not. It’s a drivel. Content should be exciting and informative. Be aware of that you’re writing about. If you have a blog that features jokes, make sure that you provide your reader with a lot of jokes. The target is that you have to attract your reader to your blog and stay him there. Make your blog “sticky” by providing your readership with information he/she doesn’t believe they can get anywhere else, or at least wouldn’t enjoy getting it anywhere else as much. Be sure that your blog has plenty of content and substance. Don’t waste people’s time. Don’t force them to read dirty unnecessary information.

3. Updating is vital for lucrative blogging. So update your blog frequently an on a schedule if possible. Your readers need to know when to expect new information from you. It is also important because search engines tend to spider websites at regular intervals.

4. Making catchy blog subjects: Catchy subjects will urge your reader audience to click on and read your posts . Keep them excited and ready to tune in.

5. Spell Check and Proof Read. While reading some blogs I quite often come across spelling, grammatical and even lexicological errors. It makes me feel uncomfortable and I try avoid such blogs. You have to know that while reading the visitors of your blog mustn’t stumble over wrongly written words. That’s why you should check your blog thoroughly for any mistakes. Don’t embarrass yourself and lose your reputation by creating blog articles that are full of errors or that are poorly written.

6. RSS is an effective method to steadily increase your reader audience. According to this rule don’t hesitate to make RSS on your blog and manage it properly.

7. Create seducing titles: You know that titles play a great role in your blogging. The fact of the matter is that a new visitor comes to your blog because he has been attracted by the title of your blog. Furthermore this is important not only for your readers, but also for the search engines. Search engines typically spider the titles. Relevant and catchy titles tempt your potential reader’s attention.

Today online marketing exists and improves due to paid search. It goes without saying that this is the hottest area of online marketing for today. What’s more this trend is only going to strengthen. For example, only for the previous year sales in paid search were about 14 Billion US. Powerful Google leads the way with its increasing share of paid search, primarily from its pay per click service, AdWords, delivering targeted pay per click ads via its own search engine web sites and a host of partner sites. To compare Yahoo purchased Overture Search in 2003 October and renamed it Yahoo Search Marketing. This program has a selection of specialized Pay Per Click advertising programs. These major PPC advertising programs offer an astounding reach to highly targeted consumers. In contrast to organic search engine listings, PPC listings don’t require an extensive content development and link building campaign.

Apparently that modern traditional media is losing its market share because ad dollars move to online marketing, and specifically the paid search territory. Within this surplus of dollars invading the paid space, unwary advertisers are at risk of making mistakes that can quietly consumer thousands of dollars. According to this I advise you to take a closer look at how you can set up and optimize your PPC campaign.

Easy and Informative

Why is PPC advertising so popular nowadays? The thing is that advertisers enjoy this kind of ad because it’s simple, suitable and comfortable.

If you’re not now using pay per click campaigns it’s crucial to comprehend them and form a strategy to optimize their performance. Great campaigns need to be well managed. It looks plain but it’s easy to waste a fortune. The fancy of PPC advertising is the speed at which you can reach your target market and the high quality of sales leads that can be generated. The disadvantage is the price and the need for excellent conversion to sales. At $5.00 to $10.00 USD per click in many cases, you can run through your ad budget quickly.

You should have writing skills and strategy

In order to be successful in PPC campaigns lays in your keyword strategy and the quality of your visitor analytics. A lot of companies create their PPC advertising campaigns without special planning. You should remember that campaigns need to be structured so that unproductive keywords can be filtered out and high performers improved upon.

Sometimes advertisers will find themselves prohibited from bidding on a keyword phrases because their ad’s click through rate (CTR) was so poor. Of course, this obstacle must be avoided. Popular keywords are associated with particular solutions in customers’ heads. You’ll discover you’re competing with companies that give a more popular solution, so although your ad shows for that particular search phrase, it isn’t really what most people are looking for. This means your CTR will be low and your ad will stop being shown. Your ad’s appearance is not a certainty when you’re trying to sell a specialized niche product under a general common search term. A headmost keyword and advertisement copy strategy will be required.

To sum it up, remember that your PPC campaign will be profitable if you bid on the right relevant selected word or keyword phrases. Then you have to write persuasive, moving advertisement copy, having a well written page to have them click through to. The language and spelling of words you can use in your ads are restricted. Hence, write attractive, suitable and convincing text. Of course it’s a hard work but it will be rewarded.

You want to get your site recognized by the main search engines and obtain high page ranking. It’s normal and ordinary dream every blogger desire to realize. Obviously that you need to be able to get your site or blog noticed by engines like Yahoo and Google. Despite others search engines these two are treated as most powerful and outstanding. The statistics and practice say that the best and most common way to get high PR and good stats of your site is to create as much as possible incoming links. They’ll undoubtedly improve the position of your site in search engines. The crucial point on this stage is your honesty. What I mean is you have to link to a relevant site, then you have to use strong anchor text in your link to get noticed, and most importantly, it has to be RELEVANT! You know Google seems to be a kind of infernal machine that’s clever and unpredicted. For example, today it uses spy bots and cookies to bounce around the internet checking all of the information and links that are out there. In comparison with previous times search engines couldn’t do that, thus webmasters and bloggers contrive untruthful or irrelevant links to the sites they were linking to. Today it’s not so easy…because search engine has become powerful, strong and all-seeing…

So we’ve decided that webmaster today has to be careful making links. Let’s come back to the title of my post. Smart incoming links…what’s this? How does it work? Firstly, to create smart and effective links webmaster need to choose the site to link to that is relevant to his or her own site. An example, If I have a site that sells computers hardware, I would not want to try and link to a site that buys leather for coats. It would be ineffective and senseless. What’s more you can’t forget that you’re tracked down – the bots and cookies would check the links, discover that they have no relevance to one another, and give me little or no credit towards my page rankings.

Another vital factor of creating smart incoming links is anchor text. What’s this? If I link to a site or blog, the text that a person would click on to come to my site is called the anchor text. For my computer hardware site, I might want to link to the site that sells, for example, computer screens For my anchor text, I wouldn’t want to simply put “Click here”, I would put something like: “For the best computer hardware with the best computer screens, visit me.” Why is that “smart incoming linking”? Because of the relevance and the anchor text. Search engines will recognize both of those factors and give my site a higher pager ranking because I am linking to a similar site. It’s that I call smart linking…

There’s one another useful factor for making smart incoming links. It’s linking to a site that is, itself, highly rated by the search engines ( good stats in general ) and, getting your link on a webpage that has several relevant keywords in regards to your site.

To sum it up, I should say that there are a lot of ways to improve and promote your site/blog in search engines. Somebody uses black hat ( it means techniques that are used to get higher search rankings in an unethical manner) while another wants to achieve high ranking with honest methods. It’s up to you. Despite this I recommend you to follow tips described above. In the circle of skilled and experienced bloggers and webmasters these methods are the foundation of creating smart incoming links; they will help you on your way of achieving a higher page rank. Good luck!

For all PC users Internet is an essential part and for Internet you need browser. Any online user can’t imagine its life without browser and every has its favorite and the most preferable. I’m almost sure that for almost all online marketers and all webmasters Mozilla Fire Fox is the most Most browser ever. This choice may be due to various amazing and really useful plugins and of course due to browser’s efficiency.

Now, we have news about continuous Fire Fox and Internet Explorer confrontation. FF developers have announced new campaign against Internet Explorer and have serious intention to lure Internet Explorer users. New campaign slogan is “Fight against Boredom!” and as you see FF developers consider IE as an boring option.

They start a site and are posting there different jokes about IE and FF users and fake stats. However, new campaign didn’t go over well after all. I suppose the reason of it is that jokes are too much offensive and they have such topics as heart diseases and cancer. On that site they have published fake statistics in order to show the FF preponderance, here is an extract from it:

“

Firefox users are:

21% less likely to be a sales representative or agent at their current place of business.

45% more likely to have gone on vacation in San Francisco within the last 2 years.

33% less likely to live with others suffering from high cholesterol.

24% less likely to live with others suffering from heart disease.

66% more likely to have viewed or listened to audio or video about politics or public affairs news within the last 30 day.

89% more likely to have purchased database software for work in the last year.

38% less likely to live with others suffering from breast cancer.

25% less likely to have breast cancer.

                                                                                            “

Before starting all “the most efficient seo techniques” and invest money in advertising and promoting your site, start with your own efforts and create easily a search engine compatible site in 3 easy steps.

The first one is the most simplest. Just obey the search engine guidelines. There is even such phrase out there: “Don’t try to compete with search engines, compete with our competitors!”. You should follow this rule without any doubt, because if you make a small research you’ll see that nevertheless black hat seo is implemented somewhere but you shouldn’t do it if you are creating a site that you hope will make some money for you and will occupy decent position in Google’s SERPs.

The second one is about you presenting your site and your approach. The thing is that when you create your site, write some content or press releases or just defining your meta tags you shouldn’t be a spammer. Some webmasters used to spam everywhere, not talking even about emailing. For example your meta tags should be descriptive and comprehensive and then it will help you with your search engine position and ranking. This also considers content. Content, first of all is written for readers and visitors but not for search engines. Keyword density does play an important role for your site seo but do it smar and don’t spam.

The third one and the last one is about those basic thing that were discussed in the second point. Build your sites for visitors rather than for search engines.
